One of the best projects was building wheelchair ramps at the homes of handicapped people to improve accessibility.  Done in conjunction with the Metropolitan Center for Independent Living, each project was completed during the cold winter months, which made the process a bit cumbersome.  But the end result made it all worthwhile.  To see the face of each individual as they rolled down the ramp for the first time in their wheelchair..........well the feeling is indescribable.  After all, helping others is what it's all about.
